GRADES 4-6

Sunday morning class time is at 9:30 where we start to see a shift in maturity and growth. Our goal is to get these kids ready for Youth. We encourage scripture memory, independent Bible study & devotion time, occasionally we offer times where they can help teach in class, and learning becomes weighted more towards life application. Class time is over at 10:30 where they are welcomed into the church service for it's entirety, hearing and seeing various ways of worship and hearing the word of God taught in a new way. Here is where they take all the Bible knowledge they have gained over the years and apply it, and grow it!

We understand that most children will make a decision for Christ by age 5, and then start defending their faith by age 12. We wish to partner with parents to see their children get to this stage with confidence and to help train them in the way they should go. (Proverbs 22:6). This is a vital age to allow critical thinking and to help solidify all that they have learned in previous years.

However, we also understand that not all children have grown up in the church and may have just started their walk of faith in Jesus Christ. We want to help them grow their faith and want their experiences here to be beneficial. At this time children in grades 4 & 5 have an option to join our children's church class. We believe that some children are spiritually ready for the next phase, and may wish to remain in the sanctuary for the sermon with their family. We encourage families to discuss this and decide together what is the best for your child.

STARTING September 9, 6th grade will move into a new division of our student (youth) ministry called EKKO MID.

They each Sunday morning @ 9:30 & Wednesday from 6:30 - 8:00.

If you have further questions, feel free to speak to or email our Children's Ministry Director, Kellie McCully.
