Marv Nelson

Lead Pastor

Marv loves Jesus, his wife Hilary, his three kids: MJ, Amelia and Liam and he loves the church! He graduated from Nyack College with a dual major in Youth Ministry and Pastoral Ministry. He then received his Master’s degree in Intercultural Leadership as well as his Master's of Divinity from Crown College. He is now Rev. Dr. Marv Nelson after completing his Doctorate of Ministry degree at Alliance Theological Seminary. He’s been in full time Ministry for 20+ years and has been ordained in the C&MA for over 15 years. Most recently before being the Lead Pastor at IAC, he was the College and Campus Plant Pastor at Allegheny Center Alliance Church. He has written several books, which include What Good is Jesus? , Unleash- Empowering the Next Generation Of Leaders as well as his newest book: The Anchored Life.

Worship pastor


Born and raised in Pittsburgh, PA, as well as in Nyack, NY, he grew watching his father lead worship every Sunday, and eventually grew into his own love for music and worship. In his Freshman year at Nyack College, Drew started to develop his skills in playing on worship teams and leading small groups.  In 2012, he went to Camp of the Woods and enrolled in the LIFT Discipleship Program, where the Lord developed his skills in Spiritual Leadership. After his time in LIFT, Drew returned to Nyack and continued his studies. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Pastoral Ministry with a Minor in Bible and Theology. Right after graduation in 2017, Drew went to Houston, TX to be a Worship and Youth Pastor at Clear Lake Bible Church, where he served for 7+ years.

 

Drew met his wife, Theresa, upon his return to Nyack in 2012. She holds a Bachelor’s in Childhood Education, as well as a Master’s Degree in Special Education. She has used her education in schools and clinics during their time in Texas. They welcomed their oldest daughter, Sarah Lee, in May of 2021, and then their daughter Lenora in July of 2023. Drew and Theresa love to spend time in the outdoors, watch shows together, and share wisecracks with each other. 



lauren bailey

CHILDREN'S MINISTRY VBS DIRECTOR

Lauren graduated from Clarion University with a degree in finance. She married Landon in 2004 and blessed them with 4 children- Hunter, Dylan, River, and Ireland. While being a full-time mom, she has been serving in Children's Ministry for over 13 years. She loves seeing kids get excited about God and His Word and encourages the children to be the salt and light of this world. 

Candy Deemer

Church admin

Candy Deemer enjoys her work as Administrative Assistant since starting in this position in September 2010.  Candy, as her name suggests, was destined to love chocolate. The plaque on her office desk that reads “Chocolate Understands” is very appropriate!
