The heart beat of Unleash Academy is to develop young adults who are unleashed into ministry after graduation. The high quality online and in-person education one will receive will help set them up for greater ministry success. Online education is an excellent way to receive a degree, but at Unleash Academy the in-person component adds a new flavor and strength to that education. Having an in-person class experience with other, like-minded Undergraduates allows for a greater opportunity for personal interaction and growth. With the hybrid model, the affordability of on-line education is available where both the in-person and online costs are the same. Also, the opportunity for in-person tutoring for online courses will be available at Indiana Alliance Church for only a SMALL increase in tuition.
Indiana, PA also offers a true college experience without the full in-person cost. Indiana, PA is home to Indiana University of Pennsylvania, where several thousand students reside, work and engage with one another. There are also several college ministries that Unleash Academy Undergraduates can engage with to grow deeper in their faith and walk alongside several other Christian undergraduate students as they navigate both the Christian and non-Christian world. Being a college town, there are several opportunities for part-time, or full-time flexible jobs as it is the regular flow and rhythm of the town itself. With only one-day in-person classes, the student is free to do their asynchronous online education at their leisure and have ample time to get work to help pay for housing and living costs. Indiana Alliance Church will partner with students to find affordable housing with everything needed for online success.
At Indiana University of Pennsylvania (IUP), there are also several 3-credit courses undergraduates can take that can count as credit for their online degree, if one would so choose. One main example is within the music program, where students can join in the marching band for the IUP football team, which is a Division II team. This is one simple example, but there are more 3-credit opportunities at IUP an undergraduate student could take advantage of.
Indiana Alliance Church is a healthy, growing church that will offer ample paid internship opportunities within Children's Ministry, Youth Ministry, Worship Ministry, Visitation Ministry and more. Dr. Nelson has also developed an effective and proven program (Unleash) for mentoring young adults that develops young adults into more competent, ready leaders.
